
Project Engineer/Project Manager –help create switchboard solutions for global projects
As a Project Engineer at Elcor, you will be responsible for your own projects and will oversee the solutions from design right through to the finished switchboard.
At Elcor in Sønderborg, Engineering, production and testing are all under one roof. This ensures short decision-making processes, close collaboration and a unique opportunity to see your designs transformed into finished solutions.
Due to increasing activity, we are now looking for a Project Engineer/Project Manager for our Project Management & Engineering department in Sønderborg.
About the position
In this role, you will play a central part in the interaction between customers, sales, engineering and production.
You will be responsible for driving projects from the initial technical clarifications through to the finished solution, and will have a significant influence on both solutions and decisions along the way.
You will be part of an international engineering team, working closely with our production sites in Poland and Lithuania, where a large proportion of our production takes place. The combination of a local presence and international collaboration offers a varied working day with both technical and project-related challenges.

Your tasks will include, among other things
You will play a key role in ensuring that our projects are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include, amongst other things:
- Designing and engineering control panel solutions for customers both at
home and abroad - Developing technical solutions and preparing electrical documentation
- Translating customers’ needs into value-adding solutions
- Ensuring project progress from order to delivery
- Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to the required standard
and within budget - Acting as a technical sparring partner for customers and the sales
organisation - Attend project meetings and build strong relationships with customers
and partners - Work closely with our production sites in Poland and Lithuania
- Support production during assembly and testing
- Coordinate activities across procurement, production and other
stakeholders - Contribute to the development and optimisation of technical solutions
and internal processes
A little about you
We imagine that you:
Hold a qualification as an electrical engineer, electrical installer, marine engineer or have an equivalent background in electrical engineering
Alternatively, be a qualified electrician with solid experience in switchboard design
Have experience in the design of control panels, though this is not a requirement.
Have experience with SEE electrical, PCSCHEMATIC, EPLAN or similar CAD programmes - this is not a requirement.
Have experience in project management orwish to develop in this role
Have a good grasp of both the details and the overall project process
Thrives in dialogue with customers, production staff and colleagues
Is fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
Has experience with or knowledge of the Machinery Directive, IEC 61439 and DS/EN 60204-1
Has an interest in and a desire to delve into standards
